Knight News
Last week we played
Naples Bears and Lehigh (mitey Mite Black) and did good. This week we have a
home game against the Venice Vikings. The Mitey Mite Black team is playing Cape
Youth also at home.
I’m sure you have noticed a few of the board members trying to sell you some
raffle tickets. That’s right we have another one this year. This year it is a
42” Plasma High Def. Flat screen TV made by Samsung. Be sure to get them before
they are gone. You can see Mike, Lloyd, or Shari Crouch. We will also be selling
them during the game this week. The tickets are only $5.00 and there are only a
limited number.
Due to the break in last week, we are short a few raffle prizes for game day
drawings. Anyone that would like to donate a raffle item please see one of the
board members. Because of the recent rash of problems we have installed a
security system. We would like to thank The Lee County Sheriffs for their quick
response in catching the bad guys.
Pictures will be coming in on Wednesday next week.
There will be a photographer at our games this week taking action photos. These
photos will be available for purchase and viewing on Wednesday, October 4th at
CsmithPhotography.net .
The discount restaurant card will be available for sale until next Wednesday.
The card is only $10.00 and works at many of our local restaurants, Beef
O’Bradys, Taco Ardente, China Town, Subway etc…if you would like one please see
your team mom.
Homecoming is next week, Thursday Oct. 5th. Because of this some teams will be
practicing on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. See your coach to find out your
practice schedule next week

Football
Mitey Knights 21 – Naples Bears 0:
Another tremendous defensive effort. The Red “D” only gave up one first down!
Great Job! The offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage the entire game.
Special teams play was great once again, and was highlighted by a two point
conversion that was kicked by J.D. Crouch. The kids are playing solid team
football! We are now setting our focus on the big game this Saturday versus the
Venice Vikings.
Pee-Wee (Knights
28 - Bears 8) : ANOTHER BIG WIN FOR THE NORTH PEE WEES SAT. 20 DIFFERENT PLAYERS
GOT TO RUN THE BALL BEHIND OUTSTANDING BLOCKING AND THE RED AND WHITE DEFENSE
COMPLETELY DOMINATED FOR THE FIRST HALF. IT TOOK THE BEARS THE ENTIRE SECOND
HALF TO SCORE ON THE STRONG DEFENSE GIVING A FINAL SCORE OF 28-8. EXCELLENT JOB
BY ALL!!! WE HAVE A BIG GAME THIS WEEK VS VENICE BUT WE WILL BE READY.
Jr. Midgets (Knights 36 - Bears
14): Touchdowns by Zane(2), Josh
Corkhill(1), Trell(1), Tim Pruett(1), extra points by Zane(2), Chris Trunk(1).
Everybody looked great said Coach Bill. Offense line blocked great. Now the
defense... No first downs on the starting defense said Coach Rick. Great job. We
play Venice this week. Their good. Go KNIGHTS beat Venice.
MIDGETS (KNIGHTS 28, NAPLES BEARS 0)
: Even though the Knights only scored 6 in the first half of play, we drove the
ball up and down the field on them and came out in the second half and poured on
an extra 22 points. With some great line play from Evan Breyley, Austin
Hutchens, Ryan Ross, Aaron Lynch & Ian Unland they kept the Bears defensive
front at bay. Scoring from Kevin “T-REX” Sprague, Nathan McIntosh, & Joey “The
Hammer” Hamor (2x). We need to fine tune our game and get ready for a great
Venice team. Remember Knights, the only way to get respect is to EARN IT!!!!!
