Knight News

Last week end was parents day at our field and it all went well. The games were good and the introductions went smooth. Thank you to all of you parents who showed up and participated. This week end we are all going to Sarasota to play the Sundevils. Remember this is our first of two away games so please respect the fields and associations. If there are any problems with anything please let a board member know and they will handle it. Remember North is know for it’s pride not only in our selves but in others. Keep that pride flowing and be respectful. We can be fined for any misconduct on our side.
We are still looking for volunteers for the November 4th and 11th playoff games. The field will be busy that weekend and we can use all the help we can get. If you would like to help out please see Mike, Cricket, or Andrea. Don’t forget we will also be hosting games on Tuesday October 31st and Wednesday November 1st. Both of those are evening games. We cold also use help on those nights.
On a sad note: Our North Fort Myers Football Family would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Knight Family for the loss of their father, Chuck. Melissa, Chuck, Chuckie, Daniel and Yasmine Knight have been a part of our NFM family for at least 8 years. Your loss will be felt by all of us. We will be setting up a donation fund to help the family, please see Andrea or Cricket for details.

Coaches Comments

Football

Mighty Knights 14 Estero Mustangs 7: The kids showed a lot of class during this game, keeping their heads in the game despite the some of the official’s calls going the other way, and the coaches/parents on the other team venting their frustrations. None of our kids need to produce driver’s licenses for the other team. The other team just needs to get the number of the “Mighty Knight” Bus that just ran them over! Great Job! Now it is time to buckle down for our biggest game of the season against the undefeated MMA Sarasota Sun Devils. The winner of this game will retain the bragging rights at the MMA Level for the 2006 season. We will need all the support we can muster!
Pee-Wee Knights 14 Estero Mustangs 0 :ANOTHER BIG WIN FOR THE PEE WEES THIS WEEK DEFEATING A TOUGH ESTERO TEAM 14-0. A GREAT JOB OF BLOCKING AND RUNNING BY ALL, ESPECIALLY THE STRONG OFFENSE AND ANOTHER WEEK WHERE OUR SPECIAL TEAMS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE GAME. ALL OF US HAVE ANOTHER TOUGH GAME THIS WEEK UP IN HOSTILE TERRITORY! GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
Jr Midget Knights 28 Suncoast 6 :Touchdown by Chris trunk, Trell Neal, Josh Guffy, and Andrew Iverson. Extra points by Zane (2) by kick. We looked good the first half said Coach Bill. Defense did great said Coach Rick. We play Estero next week. Go Knights beat Estero.
Knights 28 Estero 6: Touchdowns by Zane (3), Chris Trunk (1) extra points by Zane (2) by kick. Everyone did a great job! Offensive line blocked great. All running backs blocked and ran well. Now the defense, What can we say said Coach Rick? (4) interceptions by Josh Guffy. The whole defensive line tackled well. We play Sarasota this week. Go Knights beat Sarasota.
MIDGETS (KNIGHTS 25, ESTERO 0) :Knight power started right from the beginning with Joey “The Hammer” Hamor returning a 70 yard kick-off return for a touchdown and then after an Estero series on offense the Knights first play from scrimmage went for 55 yards with Michael Dumas carrying the rock all the way to the promise land. With other scoring coming from Kevin “T-Rex” Sprague & Michael “Flash” Rosario the Knights never looked back. The midgets came out strong and hard; and finished their regular season home schedule undefeated. The white offensive line got a lot of playing time when Brett Parbus, Jesse Morris, Christian Peltelier, Jacob Krabill & Michael Baroni. Rodely Forvil stepped up defensively for the Knights. Our mission is anything but over. Let’s finish our regular season with a win over undefeated Sarasota.
