Text Box: 10/17 Night of the Stars.  Our girls will be performing on the game field tonight at 7:30pm.  There will be judges evaluating them providing helpful tips to get them prepared for their 2 1/2 minutes at Cheer Off next week.  10/27 Bowl Game??  Your coaches will keep you informed if we will be playing in a bowl game.  The decision is based on the outcome of this weekends games.  We have a couple of North teams with the possibility of going to the playoffs on 10/27.  PRC Championship games are 11/3.  NFMJFA is the host organization.  We need volunteers this day to run concession, grill, and field.  Please let Dan know if you will be able to help and what times.   Closing day is December 4th at 6:30pm.  Pizza and soda for the players / cheerleaders will be provided.  Any money that is due needs to be paid prior to this date to ensure your child receives a trophy.  See Cricket. ——————————–—-—-COACHES CORNER—————————————————— Jr. Pee Wee: What a nail biter this game turned out to be. The entire Jr. Pee Wee Team was able to fight from behind to win the game within the final seconds. An AWESOME PUNT RETURN by JACOB EFFING set the Knights up close to the end zone with seconds remaining. JACOB CROUCH rolled out left and fired to JD CROUCH who made a diving catch in the end zone!!!!! Logan Portillo stretched the ball over the goal line, like an NFL Running Back, for the extra point! The Knights ran over the Storms all day but were only able to capitalize one time. The Red Line (JC WHATLEY, DAVID NUMA, LEVI MCQUINN, JEFF TUMBERELLO, SHANE GARRETT, AUSTIN VECCARELLI, and LOGAN PORTILLO,) did a phenomenal job all day. What else can we say about the DEFENSE!!!!! They hit and hit and hit some more!!! The coaching staff is proud of all the players and their desire not to give up!!!!!!!!!!!! Pee Wee:  The Pee Wee Knights picked up another hard fought victory 15-6 over a stubborn Cape Youth team on Saturday.  This keeps our playoff hopes alive needing another win this Saturday at the ever hostile Northport field.  Great job by all on Saturday!! Jr. Midget:  Cape Youth 46 Jr. Midget Knights 22.  Touchdowns by Tim Moyer (1), 5 yard run Damien Rye (1), 45 yard pass from Tim Moyer Lamar Dumas (1) 100 yard fumble recovery.  Extra point kicked by Tim Moyer.  We played a good first half said Coach Bill.  #1 Offense did a great job.  Well this is our last game.  It has been a good season.  Let’s try to win our last.  Go Knights Beat North Port! Midgets (North 27 - Cape Youth 8) With a big crowd on hand, the Knights earned another win Saturday night. This leaves one game left for the Knights to finish their regular season and stay in the hunt for a playoff spot. We'll work hard all week to prepare for North Port and finish our season strong. I would like to take this opportunity to thank a group of men who usually don't get enough credit for their effort, because without them this season would not have been as successful, Chris McFarland, Ed Cavazos, Jody Howard, Darren Spires, Steve Kelly & Drew Spires. We have been together for 4 years and it has been a pleasure and an honor coaching along side all of you. You guys are the best. And above all this, words cannot describe the gratitude and appreciation of our team mom Amy Pelletier. Amy, thank you for a great job and especially putting up with me, you'll always be remembered.
